Personalised Star Map & Photo Print — Lodestar
A lodestar is the star that held still while the rest of the sky turned.
This print starts from that idea: the sky above your place at your hour — stars, constellation lines and a fine gold-coloured ring — beside your photograph in a circle of the same size. The title sits above; your words sit beneath.
The sky is calculated, not drawn: the constellations sit exactly as they stand over that place on that date, at that time. And the photograph’s border takes its colour from the sky beside it, so the two circles belong to each other before anything is in them — the sky on that night, and who is under it.
Meridian pairs the photograph with a map of the place. Lodestar pairs it with the sky above it on that night.
